A person suspected of committing a double murder in Vaughan has been taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals Service

The United States Marshals Service has detained a guy who was wanted on a warrant covering the entirety of Canada for a double homicide that occurred in the City of Vaughan in 2022.

In an attempt to find the culprit, members of the York Regional Police Homicide Unit have been aggressively working the investigation in conjunction with the US Marshals Service, the RCMP INTERPOL Fugitive Apprehension Support Team, and the BOLO (Be On the Look Out) Program.

In Hartford, Connecticut, marshals apprehended the suspect on March 26, 2024.

In order to extradite the suspect to York Region, investigators are collaborating with the Ministry of the Attorney General.
