WARRANT ISSUED AFTER SHOTS FIRED AT NEWMARKET HOME

Investigators with the York Regional Police #1 District Criminal Investigations Bureau have issued an arrest warrant for an Aurora man, after shots were fired at a home in Newmarket.

On Sunday, December 15, 2024, at approximately 4:15 a.m., police responded to a residence in the area of College Manor Drive and Greig Circle for a report that shots had been fired. When officers arrived, multiple shell casings were found in front of the residence. Damage had been caused to the house and a vehicle parked in the driveway. The house was occupied at the time of the shooting. There were no physical injuries. Investigators believe the incident was targeted.
